feguess — Guess the Fire Emblem Character from their Crest

Identify the Fire Emblem character from an emblem that reveals one layer at a time — movement type, weapon, realm and appearances. A new crest every day.

Emblem mode — the Fire Emblem character quiz that reveals clues one at a time

Emblem is the guess-the-Fire-Emblem-character quiz played in reverse. Instead of comparing your guess against the answer, the game shows you a crest built from the answer’s own attributes — and it starts almost blank.

Every miss unlocks one more layer of that crest: the movement glyph, the weapon icons, the realm colour, the appearance count. The information only ever flows one way, so the pressure is on how few clues you can win with.

How Emblem mode works

  1. Look at the crest. At stage zero it is a neutral shape that tells you almost nothing.
  2. Guess a character. A wrong guess is not wasted — it unlocks the next layer of the crest.
  3. Layers unlock in a fixed order: movement type, weapon types, home realm (as the crest colour), then how many games the unit has appeared in.
  4. Keep going until you name the unit. As in every mode here, there is no guess limit and no fail state.

Emblem mode — questions

Why do some characters never appear in Emblem mode?
A character only enters the Emblem pool if it has at least three revealable layers. Units missing movement type, weapon data or a home realm would produce a crest that reveals almost nothing, so they are excluded — a puzzle where the clues are blank is not a puzzle.
Does Emblem use the same character as the daily Classic puzzle?
No. Every mode derives its answer from its own seed, so solving Emblem never spoils Classic and vice versa.
Is there a penalty for guessing early?
None. Guessing early is how you find out anything at all — the crest only advances when you miss.
How many stages are there?
It depends on the character: between three and four, because the number of layers a unit can reveal depends on how complete its data is.
